Sydney Edmond

My paintings
Like my poetry
Pour
Out
Like a prison escape.
What you see
Exclamations of great joy!
I paint
And my soul colors the canvas.
A wave of happiness washes over me
And I hope
Those who view my work

Sydney Edmond was unable to communicate until the age of ten when she learned how to point to letters and express her thoughts.  Sydney uses typed language to communicate and she uses poetry and art to express her creativity.

Inspired by Loren’s Theme

Sydney wrote this wonderful poem in response to the music, and from the perspective of Loren:

Alone
I am alone
And whirling through the universe.
I speak with a voice unheard.
I speak with longing and love.
Wanting wanting wanting
Quite precious parents to know
I am in here
Waiting in the wings.
